Malware targets VMware virtual machines.

Inside ImageIntegro company discovered a virus called “crisis” which has the capability to identify the operating system before infect the computer. Unfortunately for virtual machine users, the Virus includes an object that is created specific for VMware machines.

Crisis malware can compromise Windows, Mac OSX, VMware virtual machines and Windows Mobile devices. It seems that cybercriminals are using a fake Adobe Flash installer to spread the virus.

This is the first virus affecting virtual machines and it can copies itself onto the image using the VMware player tool, according to CNET security blog.
