Apple releases security updates for QuickTime.

Apple has released QuickTime version 7.7 to fix 14 vulnerabilities in QuickTime for Windows, Mac OS X, Mac OS X 10.6, and Mac OS X 10.5. According to Apple’s article HT4826, “Viewing a maliciously crafted pict file may lead to an unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution” and “Visiting a maliciously crafted website may lead to the disclosure of video data from another site.”

Apple recommends updating QuickTime immediately.
