Facebook has improved users privacy. They built various applications and added to the site. The application will help users to control their privacy. Hackers are focusing more to the social networking, so it is important to improve your privacy.

One major leak is the personal information such as DOB, First and last names, address, and cell-home numbers entered by users .The Information can be used by hackers to crack your password (does your password contain any personal information?) This problem also applies to all social network sites.  You must create a strong password and also change it every three months.

Most users just sign up to a social networking and they do not adjust the privacy options. The privacy option can help a user to limit information to their contact. However, this means that friends cannot find you so easy. You can leave enough personal information to identify you such as your first-last name and city/state. There will be a huge coincidence that two persons with same first and last names lives in the same city and state. To modify your account privacy jut go to account and then privacy setting where you can adjust what friend can or cannot see.

Also, users receive invitation from unknown “friends”; just remember that after you accept the invitation you will be sharing your friends with your new “friend.”  Your “new friend” can take advantage of your friends; particularly the ones that do not have any computer experience. Now you can feel more secure and enjoy your experience in social networking.
